A European debrief of sorts

Hey everyone. How’s that Friday feeling going?

I bet your mood is better than Tav’s.

European Rangers turned up again last night. They are so much better than domestic Rangers. Surreal Dessers was his usual mercurial self, foregoing the easy chances and then belting home the tricky one.

1-1 it finished in Greece, a good point for Rangers. Now they’ve got Hearts to look forward to on Sunday teatime. The Gorgie men are enjoying a small uptick in form since Neil took charge. They were largely on top against Heidenheim but thanks to a combination of their own chubby striker’s lack of form and Michael Stewart’s Opinion Saxophone they found themselves losing 2-0.

I’m not convinced it should be a saxophone. What do you think it should be. 👇🏼

For fuck’s sake there’s another international break coming so this weekend’s card has extra appeal. There’s a glut of games on Sunday. As well as Rangers v Hearts there’s Killie v Celtic and Chelsea v Arsenal. All very juicy.

Saturday is intriguing. David Gray badly needs a win for Hibs at home to St Mirren and he has no forwards available to do it. It’s Harry McKirdy to the rescue isn’t it?

How will Jimmy T and his marauding Reds fare after their cup semi hounding. That’s a 5.30 sell out. Plus there’s Brighton v Troubled Man City and Liverpool v Aston Villa. Take that Strictly!

I’ll leave you with the sad tale of Jim Goodwin who was in tears ahead of United’s weekend clash with Ross County.
